About

Who We Are

Tempting Fate Studios is a new indie developer that is tired of the modern day gaming conventions. AAA companies are basically insulting gamers at this point and we’ve decided to take it into our own hands. Our mission is to design and create games that are fun first and foremost. We will never support pay to win and you’ll never have to worry about predatory loot boxes or gacha mechanics. We’ll never obfuscate what you’re spending your hard earned money on and we’ll always strive to deliver as much value as we can.

Aiden Thorne

Director, Project Manager, Writer, Programmer, Hackermans, Nerd

Aiden is a professional card game player with numerous high level tournament finishes and top rankings across various games. He grew up playing card games and literally lived inside of a hobby shop for most of his youth. Coming as no surprise, that meant he played a lot of tournaments for various card games. There were definitely a few scoldings from when he’d go back to his room to watch anime in between rounds.
He had been a content creator during the infancy of the internet and worked as a writer for Wizards of the Coast, Alter Reality Games, Pojo, and many more. As he got older, he discovered a passion for learning and has spent over a decade in various forms of collegiate academia before venturing into IT and eventually cybersecurity. As an ethical hacker turned indie dev, he’s returning to his roots of loving games and making content.

Adam Reed

Programmer, Filthy Casual

Adam is a U.S. Army veteran turned game developer. He spent much of his free time from youth to adulthood playing video games and has decided to put all of that experience into practice. Along with gaming, he had taken an interest in and spent time learning programming. This ended up being his first steps towards putting his real life and virtual experiences together. Adam dreams of making games where not only people can have and enjoy them, but games that he can also enjoy playing along side his squad.
